Last updated: 19 July 2026. TapPill (tappill.com).
TapPill stores your medication data only on your own device, in your browser's local storage. We do not have a server that receives, stores, or can see your medications, schedules, or dose history. There is no server database containing your medication names, doses, recordings or history. If you clear browser data without a backup, that local information may be lost.
We do not collect, transmit, or sell your medication names, dosages, schedules, dose logs, or reports. The personal data we collect for accounts is the email address you provide when creating your free account (required after three sessions). That email is stored in a private database on our own hosting with the signup date, and is used to keep your access unlocked and to send occasional health-habit tips and offers, including our own future products. We never sell or share the list, every email includes an unsubscribe option, and you can request deletion at any time by emailing info@tappill.com. Your medication data itself never leaves your device.
If you enable Reliable Reminders, TapPill stores an anonymous device identifier, a browser push endpoint and the UTC times at which generic reminders should be sent. We do not upload the medication name, dose, condition, recorded voice or adherence history. The browser vendor's push service processes the anonymous notification endpoint so it can deliver a system notification. Disabling Reliable Reminders removes the subscription and its scheduled reminder timestamps from our database.
TapPill does not use Google AdSense or display advertising. The app uses browser local storage to keep medication data on your device and may use strictly necessary session or security mechanisms for account verification and administration. We do not use medication data for advertising.
Our hosting provider may record standard, anonymous server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and performance. These are not linked to any health information, because no health information is ever sent to the server.
TapPill is not directed at children under 16. Medication management for children should be handled by a parent, guardian, or carer on their own device.
Because your data lives on your device, you can view, export (CSV), or erase it at any time from Settings → Your data. For questions about this policy or your data rights, email info@tappill.com.
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated date.
